It's debatable - he is so obviously IGNORANT that it all seems normal - IOW that's just who he is. I tend to think the rambling & craziness is largely a result of having to stand up there & talk about 'something' when he doesn't really have any real interest in anything at that moment except filling the time with words - so he just spouts garbage ! It's all normal 'trump' !

Nope.... it's Frontotemporal Dementia... and he is in the late stages of it.

Exactly. Look at any of his interviews from 30-40 years ago, then look at interviews from 2016 to today, the contrast is striking. Its like the trump of the past 10 years is a totally different person. And what does Corporate media talk about? A hit book about Biden. Which is why I haven't watched Corporate News(ABC,NBC,CBS,CNN)since about the middle of 2022.

It is not debatable. He has a immediate family history of dementia. And he is nearing the age that both of them died as a result of the disease, his father and sister.

No, consider the difference between his first and second terms. In his first term he was a little erratic, a little "creative" with words (remember cofefe?) but for the most part he could speak fairly clearly in more or less full, if simple, sentences. Some of what he said was word soup but he could generally finish thoughts. He had the vocabulary of a 6th grader at best and obviously wasn't very bright. But Trump 2.0 is dramatically worse. He slurs, he rambles, his speech is jumbled and repetitious, stream of consciousness gibberish. He sets policy and then reverses it repeatedly, sometimes within minutes. And the hate, the venom is off the charts, not uncommon in people with dementia. He's obviously deteriorating rapidly. He talks of a Constitutionally prohibited third term but I'm not sure he's going to be able to complete his second.

Yep. Doubt he will be able to stand mush less sit by then and communicate

Unfortunately, he's driven such a wedge between people that he has opened a chasm from which some smooth talking, compos mentis autocrat might arise and drag our weakened democratic principles down even further. I watched a chilling video today making that exact point, by a British political analyst and former member of the British government. I wish I'd saved the link. I'd post it here. Just believe me when I say he made a compelling case for how things could get much worse if the Right doesn't develop some critical thinking skills very soon.

I agree. I hope it does not come to guns in the streets and that we are strong enough with protests that we can make the courts see that we do not want what we are being given.

There's no debate, he's rapidly declining. Trump 2.0 is much, MUCH worse than his first term. We've all heard and watched his steady decline since he lost the 2020 election. And it's shocking that the 25th Amendment hasn't been put into play. If he's not stopped he's going to destroy our nation. We're already the laughing stock of the entire world. And his constant deference to hostile foreign leaders is going to literally give the US away if we don't stop him.

The whole world can see he is declining and that no one is doing anything about it. A normal family would hold an intervention and have him committed to a mental health facility for his own safety. You would think some public official could lock him up for being a dangerous international threat to world. Don't be a Trump. Be kind!

It’s unclear just why all those around him and especially his family don’t pull him aside and get him out before he either gets impeached or he hurts more people or he even hurts himself. His own family, his older children should remember their own grandfather Trump and see the same signs of how sick he actually is.

It’s also unclear what he has over the Republican leadership and the rest of the party. They should have brought him up for impeachment months ago. He has already been impeached twice but only in the House during his first term. I’m certain it would have gone through this time.

Do you think kids raised by a psychopath like Trump have enough empathy to care what happens to their geriatric father? They probably want to milk this opportunity to insider trade for all that it's worth. Of course, if any of them had half a brain as well they'd realize that he's going about it in an absolutely unsustainable way. But the entire family has never faced consequences and until they do, they won't change their ways.

That would happen in a normal family. This is not a normal family. As for the Republican Party, here is a perfect opportunity for them to dump Mike Johnson, select a moderate Republican as speaker, and then get rid of Trump. I hope that behind the scenes they are working on that. Vance is no prize, but might be managable since he always follows the lead of whoever he sees as powerful (which he is not).

We have GOT to work to elect more dems and get rid of these do-nothing republican place-holders.

So true. I will never understand how someone who has so many conflicts of interest, criminal convictions and other issues can literally get away with it and on top of it be re-elected president with all that baggage.

Electing enough Democrats in the next election might flip the House and I believe that there are at least one or two open Senate races too. There might be enough momentum to hold impeachment hearings and truly make America get another ( maga) president!

Thank you from 🇬🇧 we are all in danger ‼️ here. The man is clearly very mentally disturbed by different pathological conditions. On top of that he is exhibiting some form of dementia which is becoming increasingly dangerous and apparent to the people of the whole world 🌍. Very disturbing 😳 for us all.

Much appreciate your posting. As a psychiatric practitioner, I can state that while your information is not complete it is accurate. Of course, experts have long warned about his cognitive decline but then as now, nothing was done and will continue as such. Too much to be gained by keeping a lunatic in office. Too many have much to lose (power and money) by removing him. Too many hate mongers have much to lose by removing him. They don't want to give up their glee in "owing the libs". While I certainly have no idea where or how this will end, I can only hope GOP reps will wake up and start saying "no" to him.

I have seen that video before and have experience with Alzheimer patients. That is accurate. If it were happening to anyone else I would feel sad but I know I am not the only one laughing at this demented lunatic. I also know without the ability to make proper choices he is very dangerous. It's going to take ALL of us standing together to take him down.

It's not debatable. He is rapidly deteriorating. And yet we continue to pretend by discussing his utterances as if there is some kind of meaning there. This is not normal, even for Trump. Why is the Congress not all over this DOING THEIR JOB? I'd rather see Jerry Weiss's approach followed to get rid of the whole bunch of them. Or do we just let this nonsensical process play itself out and hope that there will be pieces to pick up and try to put back together afterward?

Dementia runs in Donold’s family. His father died 9 years after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, his sister, mother as well as other family members have also had it. It’s his genetic heritage. Dementia is a terminal disease and he will die from complications from it.

Good guests and ends with humor. This topic needs WIDE distribution even tho to those of us paying attention, it’s a DUH! 😱
