A Poem About Public Service
I wrote a poem called "Guardians of the Flame" to inspire all who defend democracy
My Fellow Democracy Defenders,
I wrote “Guardians of the Flame”, a poem about public service. Hope it inspires all of you to fight fascism and save our sacred democracy. All feedback is welcome!
Guardians of the Flame
Beneath the dome where whispers rise,
Where freedom’s echoes never die,
Stand steadfast those who bear the light,
The quiet hands that guard what’s right.
Public servants, humble names,
Unseen by many, yet they frame
The pillars strong on which we lean,
A nation’s hope, its dreams serene.
From clerks who tend the voting lines,
To guards who watch through endless times,
Each task performed with quiet grace,
They hold democracy in place.
In offices dim, their pens take flight,
Writing laws for justice bright;
Their duty calls from dawn till night,
To keep our union’s sacred might.
Through storms of doubt and tides of fear,
They labor on, though none may hear—
For every vote, each voice they protect,
Is democracy’s eternal effect.
Teachers sowing seeds of truth,
Librarians preserving youth;
Firefighters racing through the flame,
And nurses healing in His name.
Police who walk both day and night,
Ensuring peace with all their might;
Judges bound by honor's creed,
Upholding law with wisdom deep.
These are the ones who dare to stand,
Against corruption’s cruel demand,
Defending rights, protecting all,
Lest tyranny should ever fall.
Oh, guardians of this noble land,
Your courage lifts us hand in hand;
May history etch your deeds profound,
As stewards of America’s ground.
So let us thank these unseen few,
Who make our freedoms ever new,
For theirs is the enduring fight—
To safeguard democracy’s light.
Wonderful. I’m calling the GOP representative for our area and reading it to her voicemail
Beautiful! Keep fighting! We’ll keep calling! We are the majority! 🇺🇸
