As I have for other brave heroes like Heather Cox Richardson, Jim Acosta, and Cory Booker, I wrote a poem for him:

The Sentinel of Justice

In the halls where shadows whisper lies,
Where power cloaks itself in thin disguise,
Stands a man, unbowed, with piercing sight,
Norm Eisen, guardian of the light.

With quill as sword and law as shield,
He strides across the battlefield,
Where tyrants scheme and freedoms fray,
He holds the line, night into day.

A scholar’s mind, a warrior’s heart,
He tears corruption’s veil apart,
Each word he wields, a clarion call,
To save the dream that lifts us all.

When demagogues with gilded tongues,
Climb ladders built on broken rungs,
Norm stands firm, a beacon bright,
Defending justice, truth, and right.

Through storms of slander, waves of scorn,
His courage shines, a hope reborn,
For every citizen, rich or poor,
He guards the freedoms we adore.

Oh, brave defender, steadfast friend,
Your vigilance will never bend,
In history’s scroll, your name will gleam,
A champion of the democratic dream.

So raise a cheer for Norm Eisen’s fight,
A hero born of moral might,
In darkest hours, his voice rings true,
Democracy endures—because of you.
