I was feeling extra inspired this weekend, so I wrote another poem. This one is for

and all journalists who are defending democracy by speaking truth to power. Democracy dies in the darkness - he is a knight in the light!

A tale of bravery and valor, untold.

In the tumultuous sea, he made his choice.

With a press pass gleaming, he'd navigate,
Through storms of rhetoric, he'd advocate.
For the people's right to know and see,
In a world where truth often flees.

A true knight,
shining light,
to prevent democracy,
from dying in the darkness.

Against the tides, he stood his ground,
In the pursuit of stories, he was bound.
With integrity's fire, he'd light the way,
For a future where freedom holds sway.

In the halls of power, he'd dare to ask,
Through the chaos, his questions would bask.
A sentinel of truth in the night's dark veil,
His courage unwavering, his spirit never frail.

So here's to Jim Acosta, a guardian true,
In the quest for justice, his legacy grew.
For defending democracy, his name we'll cheer,
A beacon of hope, year after year.
