They sure are and this has ZERO to do with antisemitism- it is a CPAC/Heritage Foundation MAGA TRASH play to turn us all into unquestioning MAGA CULTIST LQSERS

Trump’s war on America’s Ivy League universities didn’t start with the 2023 anti-Israel protests. It was set off in 2019 by a sucker punch that left a man with a black eye. https://www.wsj.com/us-news/education/trump-college-university-federal-funding-fight-91c2a274?st=cMnpzY&reflink=article_imessage_share

A black eye - that is what started all this chaos

“Harvard wants to fight,” Trump told reporters Wednesday in the Oval Office. “They want to show how smart they are, and they’re getting their ass kicked.”

Steve Bannon, a former Trump adviser, said he, Miller and others close to the president talked about asserting more control over universities in the early days of Trump’s first term. “The idea was nothing more than a concept back then,” said Bannon, a Georgetown and Harvard graduate. “You couldn’t even call it an idea.”

“Yet the idea of targeting elite schools by withholding federal funds originated years earlier. Many conservatives have long studied ways to combat what they view as the liberal, anti-Western ills of American higher education. Some are now in the Trump administration, trying to push change.”

None of this has anything to do with Israel it’s about power

Europe educates everyone free of cost and only the US has made this an expensive privilege. Ignorance makes people easier to control.

We cannot let Harvard stand alone.

Use this spreadsheet as a resource to call/email/write members of Congress, the Cabinet and news organizations. Reach out to your own reps, as well as those in other states on a specific committee important to a topic you’re sharing. Use your voice and make some “good trouble.”

We must each call our OWN alma mater,

because the attack against Truth will be relentless and pervasive as these extremely powerful Oligarchs (kleptocrats. technobros, whatever) are NOT giving up their power without a long, violent, oppressive battle. They have fought for this moment since the year FDR was elected, and Hitler was rising.

They had the long, secret plan, and with its final acts in 1979 and 2000, they have won too much. The War Barons, and their filthy rich Oil dynasty backers. They have adopted all sorts of "end times" ideology to justify their destruction of our only life giving planet.

They now have ALL the power, the currencies, the crypto empire, the coordination of vast military power supplied us, with our tax dollars.

But they still don't have power over those of us who have had a taste of democracy, of the dream of democracy ... and we need our great thinkers, untethered to the capitalist grinder, to help us formulate a new structure, and new declaration of independence, a new constitution, and so on.

Protect Critical Thinking and Knowledge and the beginnings of post-colonial vision. Protect the science we need to save our children's futures. Or at least to save some of the life remaining on earth.

ugh. here I go again. pontificating when I am about as close to powerless as a white woman born in the US of white parents (albeit of Irish descent) can be.

Self made very small biz owner, with a degree from UCSD in Communications and Chinese Studies, with a dad who responded to our questions with questions, and the last remnant of the wonderful (if you were white) public education of the boomers, with elementary schools around every corner, and hell I often walked home from middle and high school, as well, and played in the many playgrounds and rode the wonderful trains and trolleys of Philadelphia's Main Line, even though I was from Narberth, "hungry town" to the denizens of the other stops on the Paoli Local.

I'm on a roll today. Comments of hundreds of words.

My Great Uncle Tommy came back from the Pacific after WWII and would never speak a word about it. He had lost his girl, and pieces of his face, and he got a job at the Post Office in Narberth, where he had grown up. He fought the Axis of Fascism.

And I can't believe we're fighting it here, now, even though I've been fighting it since the first time I was eligible to vote, in 1980. And Screaming it since I saw Trump win the debate with the words "nasty woman" in 2016.

I am trying to recover my SA trauma scarred nervous system for 9 years now (raped and impregnated at 16, luckily 2 years after Roe, the violently grabbed by the pussy and held that way against a wall, with a tongue shoved down my throat, less than 2 years later LIKE SO MANY OTHER WOMEN triggered into fight, flight and especially FREEZE for a decade now), all while raising two beautiful young men to add to the handful of men who have REALLY stood up and marched with women since then.

But, I'm not even Able to join the fight the way I would like to at this time. I marched. I called voters in other key states. I donated way more than I could afford, to the best the Democrats had to offer.

But since November, I'm just holding my own oxygen mask to my face after 10 years of yelling at NPR, and watching the LIES win, and raising my boys without help from their dad.

He at least never left them on the curb, and he showed them his version of love, which is more than I can say for many divorced dads.

OK. bitterness rising. MEN IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO SHARE THE BURDEN

First they came for the WOMEN ...
