Prof G Schools the Oligarchy by Unsubscribing
A Poem for Professor Scott Galloway, who teaches us about beating fascists with your wallets
My Fellow Democracy Defenders,
NY Professor Scott Galloway is hitting MAGA where it hurts. Prof G is destroying the broligarchy by organizing we the people to unsubscribe from their toxic products and companies. I have a written a poem for him as a testament to his wisdom and courage. We must vote with our wallets! Please support independent writers like me and my partner if you are able to, it makes a big difference in our lives as the orange menace destroys our economy.
In hallowed halls of commerce, a voice did rise,
Scott Galloway spoke truth ‘neath academic skies.
He saw the giants looming, their power unchecked,
And knew his conscience called for bold respect.
“Enough!” he cried, “This cannot stand!
These titans crush the spirit of our land.
With algorithms dark and data mines so deep,
They sow the seeds of oligarchy to reap.”
He took his stand, a warrior of the mind,
Against the oligarchs, his voice defined.
Not with sword or shield did he engage,
But with the mightiest weapon of his age.
His wallet closed, his patronage withdrawn,
He unsubscribed from dusk until the dawn.
No more would he support the tech elite,
His protest made complete.
From Amazon’s vast empire to Apple’s walled garden,
From Facebook’s social realm to Google’s data pardon,
He severed ties with each monopolistic force,
And charted a principled, independent course.
“Democracy,” he said, “requires our care,
Not blind consumption, but mindful repair.
Each dollar spent is like a vote we cast,
For the future we want, not the present that’s passed.”
His students watched and listened, minds astir,
Inspired by the message they did hear.
For in his act of unsubscribing’s grace,
They saw the power of the individual’s place.
Not all could follow where he dared to tread,
The tech giants’ grasp on life far spread.
Yet in his stand, a clarion call was made,
That woke the sleeping to the charade.
For in the end, it’s not just one man’s fight,
But a collective stand for what is right.
To question power, to seek accountability,
To build a future of true democracy.
So let us raise our voices, join the refrain,
And work to break the oligarchs’ chain.
For in our choices, small and large,
We shape the world, our lasting charge.
Scott Galloway’s stand, a beacon in the night,
Reminds us all of our collective might.
To unsubscribe from what we know is wrong,
And in that act, find where we belong.
In defense of democracy, we must engage,
Not as passive subjects, but citizens of the age.
For only through our conscious, careful acts,
Can we ensure that freedom’s flame still lasts.
So here’s to Galloway, his courage and his cause,
A reminder that there are no unbreakable laws,
When it comes to standing for what’s true and just,
In technology’s realm, in which we all must trust.
His unsubscribing, more than just a personal choice,
A symbol of resistance, a collective voice.
That says to power, “We will not be ignored,
Our democracy is ours, to be restored.”
And so the battle rages on, each day,
As citizens decide the price they’ll pay,
To live in a world where freedom still has meaning,
And tech serves all, not just the few who’re scheming.
Scott Galloway’s stand, a single drop in time,
Yet part of a wave that will forever climb,
Towards a future where democracy’s restored,
And tech’s potential is by all explored.
In unsubscribing, he found his voice,
And in that act, gave others a choice.
To stand for something, to make a stand,
And help reshape our digital land.
So let us learn from his example bright,
And in our own ways, join the fight.
For a world where power is checked and balanced,
And democracy, by all, is cherished and advanced.
The ballad of Galloway’s brave unsubscribing,
A story of resistance, of never stopping trying.
To defend the values we hold most dear,
And in that defense, find purpose clear.

Great poem. His message has hit Iran as they have listed companies they are going to strike monetarily.
