ICE Murdered Good
A Poem for Renee Good - say her name!
A voice that rose where silence sought to cling,
Renee Good, with spirit brave and free,
A guardian heart, on tireless, fervent wing,
For democracy, and all humanity.
She saw the pillars of our freedom sway,
And stood unyielding, with a righteous plea,
Against the shadows that would steal the day,
For every citizen’s inherent dignity.
Her empathy embraced the weary soul,
The immigrant, who sought a safer shore,
She offered solace, strove to make them whole,
And opened wide compassion’s boundless door.
She was a haven, a light in troubled lands,
A human shield against the coming storm,
Extending grace with tender, open hands,
To keep their fragile hopes and spirits warm.
But in the cruelest twist, a bitter truth,
A betrayal etched in sorrow, stark and deep,
A life of purpose, vibrant in its youth,
By those who swore the nation’s peace to keep.
The very agents, cloaked in cold command,
Whose mandate speaks of order, swift and stark,
With iron grip, and a most brutal hand,
Renee Good was murdered by ICE’s dark mark.
Her light extinguished, a heinous, chilling blight,
A testament to power’s harsh abuse,
A defender fallen, in the endless night,
A sacrifice that finds no swift excuse.
Let her name echo, a mournful, solemn sound,
A rallying cry against the coming wrong,
May justice bloom from this unhallowed ground,
And make her vision for the future, strong.

“Let her name echo, a mournful, solemn sound,
A rallying cry against the coming wrong,
May justice bloom from this unhallowed ground,
And make her vision for the future, strong.”
Beautiful, Public Servant. Blessings and thanks. 💙
